Options (Analysis tab)

• Run Calc (in-house GGA): generalized gradient method; recommended default for speed and stability.
• Run Calc N-R (Newton-Raphson): classic scheme; good as a second numeric check.
• Compare (EPANET GGA): runs EPANET to benchmark against an industry standard.

When to use each

• Start with GGA for most networks.
• Use N-R if you suspect convergence issues or want a different scheme.
• Use EPANET to validate key results, compare timing, or check headloss/controls.

Tips

• With PRV/PSV valves, EPANET is a strong reference.
• Tweak tolerances only if needed; otherwise keep presets.
• Watch the status banner: shows active solver, success, and runtime.
